2nd Annual Pink Cocktail Benefit for cancer

It was at the Museum Bar to support breast cancer! One in 8 women could be affected with this, so it's important to get screened for it by doing regular mammograms. Introducing Q.U.A.Z

Raised in Virginia Beach, VA, Q.U.A.Z. (Quickly United at Zion), was inspired to become a rapper after performing in a local talent show in 2002. He easily caught the crowd’s attention with his free-style over rapper Ludacris’s “Southern Hospitality”. It was in that moment he was assured; he was certain that he could begin his journey of becoming a rapper without having to compromise his beliefs. His dislike for the genre’s vulgarity is what has inspired his faith-driven music. He is successfully tearing down the barriers that separate Christian rap from hip-hop’s current form. “If it doesn’t match up to what I believe in, then it will not be spoken.” His style emphasizes messages of verbal skill, life lessons, unity, and social issues.Q.U.A.Z. has later mentioned in reference to his music, saying Q.U.A.Z. met underground D.J., Stacey Peyton, and better known as D.J. Destiny; whom he often refers to as his “mentor.” The two crossed paths at their church and discovered they shared a mutual passion for hip-hop music. He later took Q.U.A.Z. under his guidance and taught him how to reflect on the original elements of hip-hop as well as, how to evolve as the artistic culture of hip-hop continues to. 

He has been nominated for Best Male Rapper in the 2011 DMV Awards, headlined for the The Million Heir’s Ball (Virginia), and the Southern Entertainment Awards (Memphis, TN). He has also opened for Wale, and performed at the NOVA in virginia. Q.U.A.Z. remains inspired by the artistic form of rap music and continues to make his contribution to hip-hop by providing a different yet fresh approach. While reflecting on the admiration of his music, the rapper mentioned “You can’t say that you’re inspired to do something if you don’t have love for it.”

After "the Only God" Single Release Concert

 Last night was amazing! We want to personally thank all the fans that were out there showing their support on yesterday! Everyone was simply amazing. It still is AMAZING to us how we went from a praise team, to being on an album with Alicia Keys, to performing on stage with numerous artists including Tyrese Gibson, Elle Varner, Tye Tribbet, just to name a few! We have truly been blessed. 

We also want to thank Kierra Sheard for coming out too! Her voice is truly amazing. We Truly are humbled and blessed to share the stage with such an amazing person!

 We also want to thank Milton Vann for celebrating with us as well. His voice is awesome!

So...we're so excited to announce our VERY FIRST single release for "The Only God", scheduled for June 15th! We have been so blessed, and super excited right now! To go from just a praise and worship team in the Bronx, to performing at churches in other states, to performing on the B.E.T Bobby Jones Show, to performing on the Stellar Awards, to recording in a studio with Alicia Keys, to so many other avenues, it's DEFINITELY been a wonderful experience thus far.

Fantstic year

   

        This year has been an exciting year so far! We have really been blessed. We opened up in March 2012, and from then until now, we have achieved many accomplishments. From Tia Michelle and Jalon Blacc assisted with Khris Kourtesi, Rock, Mike, and Chazzam with completing their albums, to creating a compilation album. We have also had Tia Michelle, Jalon Blacc and Michelle Latimer (CEO of HamTrackz Productions) featured in magazines, blogs and other outlets...and the artists haven't even been on board a year yet. We also gained the attention of Glory 2 Glory Records to assist LIVRE' with branding and booking. 

I want to personally thank everyone thus far for all the hard work that we have put in. If it wasn't for everyone within and outside individuals we wouldn't have came this far.We want to thank Dunia Magazine, Performer, Urban Culture Magazine, Love 860 AM, Music Now Magazine, Glory 2 Glory Records, Mbk Entertainment, and everyone else for all the love and support.
